Job summary

Allison Homes is seeking a practical Health & Safety Advisor to support sites, regional teams and offices across the group. Reporting to the Group Health & Safety Manager, you will conduct inspections, provide coaching, and help maintain high health and safety standards on site.

You will hold a NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent), have a UK driving licence, and knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
• Scaffold inspection experience or a relevant qualification.
• Good knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience in housebuilding or residential construction is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health, safety and environmental inspections and audits.
• Provide practical advice and coaching to site and regional teams.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses.
• Review risk assessments, safe systems of work and project documentation.
• Develop toolbox talks, safety bulletins and awareness activity.

Job description

Are you a practical and approachable health and safety professional who enjoys working alongside construction and operational teams?

We are looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to join Allison Homes and help us maintain high standards across our sites, regional teams and offices.

Reporting to the Group Health & Safety Manager, you will:

• Conduct health, safety and environmental inspections and audits
• Provide practical advice and coaching to site and regional teams
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses
• Review risk assessments, safe systems of work and project documentation
• Develop toolbox talks, safety bulletins and awareness activity
• Monitor actions, trends and environmental compliance
• Support continuous improvement across the business

You will hold a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent and have scaffold inspection experience or a relevant qualification. You will also need a good knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, strong communication skills and a full UK driving licence.

Experience in housebuilding or residential construction would be helpful, but relevant experience from other industries will also be welcomed.
