Job summary

Principal People are recruiting a Health & Safety Advisor to join a leading London construction contractor on a portfolio of central London projects. You will provide practical advice, conduct site inspections, and promote a proactive safety culture across busy sites.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate required.
• Experience as Health & Safety Advisor in construction or related industry.
• Ideally with experience at Tier 1 or established Tier 2 main contractor.

• Provide practical Health & Safety advice and support across multiple construction projects in Central London.
• Work with Site Managers, Project Managers and operational teams to promote a positive safety culture.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and reviews to ensure compliance with H&S legislation and standards.
• Build strong relationships with site teams, encouraging open communication and near-miss reporting.

Principal People are working with a leading Tier 1 Construction Contractor to recruit a Health & Safety Advisor to support a portfolio of high-profile construction projects across Central London.

What you'll be doing:

• Provide practical Health & Safety advice and support across multiple construction projects throughout Central London.
• Work closely with Site Managers, Project Managers and operational teams to promote a positive and proactive safety culture.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and reviews to ensure compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation and company standards.
• Build strong relationships with site teams, encouraging open communication, near-miss reporting and continuous improvement.
• Support the implementation of Health & Safety initiatives, challenging unsafe behaviours and promoting best practices.
• Take ownership of your projects, working autonomously while receiving support from an experienced Health & Safety leadership team.

What we're looking for:

• NEBOSH Construction Certificate or NEBOSH General Certificate.
• Previous experience working as a Health & Safety Advisor within the construction or related industry
• Ideally, experience working for a Tier 1 or established Tier 2 Main Contractor.
