TPP Recruitment Ltd is seeking a health and safety professional with strong fire safety expertise to lead fire safety initiatives across multiple campuses. The role involves owning specialist work, influencing safety culture and delivering in-house expertise.

You will oversee fire risk assessments, audits and training, and support governance and compliance reporting. A competitive package accompanies pension and generous annual leave.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate and Fire Safety Certificate are required.
• Experience in fire safety, construction or built environment health and safety.
• Strong fire risk assessment knowledge and practical experience.
• Experience conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver training and influence stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Lead fire risk assessments and support Fire Marshals.
• Deliver fire safety training and promote a positive safety culture across the campuses.
• Advise on contractor safety, building safety and construction projects.
• Carry out audits, inspections and incident investigations.
• Support safety events, compliance reporting and guidance development.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across infrastructure and operational teams.
• Contribute to governance groups, committees and compliance reporting.

Location: Hertfordshire with occassional travel to London

Salary: £40,528 to £51,470 per annum, including London Weighting

Working hours: 35 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

What you will do:

• Lead fire risk assessments and support Fire Marshals
• Deliver fire safety training and promote a positive safety culture across the campuses
• Advise on contractor safety, building safety and construction projects
• Carry out audits, inspections and incident investigations
• Support safety events, compliance reporting and guidance development
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across infrastructure and operational teams
• Contribute to governance groups, committees and compliance reporting
• Help develop meaningful performance measures and safety KPIs
• Reduce reliance on external consultants by providing in-house fire safety expertise

What we're looking for:

• NEBOSH General Certificate and Fire Safety Certificate
• Experience in fire safety, construction or built environment health and safety
• Strong fire risk assessment knowledge and practical experience
• Experience conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver training and influence stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills with experience of risk management and performance reporting
• IOSH membership (TechIOSH or working towards) desirable
