Job description

Description

This role is responsible for providing consulting services to our clients in all aspects of managing the health of their workforce and advising on implementing risk and other health-related insurance, which are the key aspects of these services.

The Role:

  • Work with WTW Consultants and its clients on the provision and selection of risk and other health-related insurance.
  • Provide strategic consultative advice to clients about the design, delivery, and ongoing management of their benefit programs, working with other consultants within the team.
  • Proactively update your own knowledge of changes in legislation by talking to other associates and reading appropriate news briefs/publications. Apply this knowledge to day-to-day work.
  • Manage providers for your own client base using negotiation and influencing skills as appropriate.
  • Service, consult with, and retain existing clients with a high level of service and credibility.
  • Plan and organize renewals.
  • Design and redesign of benefits.
  • Liaise with providers and insurers for information.
  • Assist with re-broking exercises and analysis and verification of providers' contract terms.
  • Deal with queries from clients.
  • Maintain quality control procedures.
  • Develop other colleagues’ technical knowledge and experience of healthcare benefit provision, including market developments and best practices.
Qualifications

The Requirements:

  • Comprehensive and up-to-date technical knowledge and practical experience in the areas of Employee Benefits.
  • Excellent grounding in group risk and healthcare policies and providers (ideally supported by GR1 and/or IF7 qualifications).
  • Good standard of written and oral communication.
  • The ability to work with minimum supervision and within cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Good collaboration with other consultants in Health & Benefits, as well as the wider WTW business.
  • Computer literacy of Microsoft Office software, in particular Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to learn quickly, use own initiative, and organize own workload effectively.
  • Able to work quickly, but accurately in a professional environment. An understanding and appreciation of broader employee health issues would be an advantage, as would experience of wellbeing and technology platforms, all of which are key aspects to future progression.

At WTW, we believe difference makes us stronger. We want our workforce to reflect the different and varied markets we operate in and to build a culture of inclusivity that makes colleagues feel welcome, valued, and empowered to bring their whole selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive work environment throughout our organization. We embrace all types of diversity.
