Job summary

Brava Education is seeking a permanent Headteacher for an independent specialist school near Birmingham, Worcester and Redditch. This hands-on headship requires visible leadership, setting direction, and driving improvement with a regional support team.

You will oversee curriculum pathways, SEND provision, safeguarding and pastoral care, while managing staff, budgets and IS Standards compliance. Start is flexible for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• QTS with NPQH or equivalent.
• Senior leadership experience in a special school or complex setting.
• Strong knowledge of the Independent School Standards and safeguarding.
• Experience leading SEND provision with multidisciplinary teams.
• A proven record of school improvement.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision and culture of the school, and lead its improvement.
• Lead the curriculum, with clear pathways for each young person.
• Oversee SEND, safeguarding and pastoral provision.
• Manage staffing, budget and compliance with the Independent School Standards.
• Work with families, local authorities and a wider multidisciplinary team.
