Job summary

The Trust invites applications for Headteacher of Kings Meadow School, a special school serving over 50 pupils aged 4-11 with SEMH needs. The role calls for strategic leadership, safeguarding excellence and a bold vision for school improvement.

Reporting to the CEO and working with our Director of Education, you will lead curriculum, learning and teaching, track pupil progress, manage resources and the school budget, and support a culture of high expectations across the Trust.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding young people.
• Proven leadership experience in a school setting.
• Ability to lead school improvement and change management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safeguarding, curriculum, learning and teaching and student progress.
• Ensure effective day-to-day operation of the school through leading your team and managing resources.
• Take operational control of the budget and all school staff, reporting to the CEO and working with the Director of Education.

Job description

The above position offers an exciting, challenging and rewarding opportunity to be the lead in the continuing development of our special school which currently caters for over 50 fantastic pupils aged 4-11 who have a SEMH needs and may have associated needs such as delays in learning and development, and/or trauma.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and working closely with our Director of Education, you will be responsible for the safeguarding, the curriculum, learning and teaching, student progress and achievement, and ensuring the effective day to day operation of the school through leading your team and managing resources effectively and efficiently. You will have operational management of the budget and responsibility for all staff at the school. You will support the Trust to create a culture of high expectation, self-evaluation and constant improvement. In return you will be supported by colleagues from across our Trust; our other schools and college, as well as the shared services team who manage the business services so you can focus on developing the unique culture of your school.
