Job summary

The Londoner in London’s Leicester Square invites applications for a Head Waiter/ess to join The Stage, its exclusive Champagne Bar. You will lead the service team within your section, ensuring guest and host satisfaction in a lively, cohesive environment.

You will be fully competent with all menu items, explain the dining concept to guests, take orders with allergen notes, manage dish timing, read table needs, and assist with cashing up and shift close as required.

• Knowledge of Food & Beverage trends within the restaurant or hotel environment.
• Ability to demonstrate delegation and leadership skills.
• Ownership of tasks and ensure completion to a high standard.
• Ability to work as a team and provide guidance to others.

Responsibilities

• Direct the service team within your section to ensure guest and host satisfaction.
• Explain the dining concept to guests with confidence and accuracy.
• Take orders, including allergen notes, and manage timing of dishes.
• Read table needs and adapt service accordingly.
• Support cashing up and closing the shift, rectify errors as needed.

We are currently recruiting fo r a Head Waiter/ ess to joi n The Stage, our exclusive Champagne Bar , which is the heart of The Londoner.

Overview:

An amazing opportunity to join the team at The Stage at The Londoner as a Head Waiter/ess.

As a Head Waiter/ Waitress you will support the Floor Managers to direct the service team within your section to ensure both customer and host satisfaction is achieved in a motivated and cohesive environment.

You will be fully competent with all menu items and confidently be able to explain the dining concept to guests.

You will take orders correctly making a clear note of all allergens.

You will understanding timing of dishes and make food orders accordingly.

You will be able to read the needs of tables in order to understand their service preferences.

You will support the cashing up and closing process of your shift and take steps to rectify any errors.

About You:

Knowledge of Food & Beverage trends within the Restaurant or hotel restaurant environment.

Capable of demonstrating both delegation and leadership skills.

The ability to demonstrate personal ownership of tasks and ensure completion to a high standard.

The ability to work as a team and provide guidance and support to others.
