Job summary

Edwardian Hotels London, The May Fair Hotel, invites applications for a Meeting & Events Head Waiter/ess to lead service at high-profile functions and ensure flawless guest experiences.

You will oversee event service, brief and motivate staff, uphold luxury rituals, and work closely with the Meetings & Events leadership team to deliver the elevated standard our guests expect in a London luxury setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in luxury hospitality in 4- or 5-star hotel or premium events venue.
• Proven leadership and guest service skills.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage events.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and peak periods.
• Excellent communication and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead Event Service — oversee the floor during events with impeccable timing and guest care.
• Support Team Management — brief, motivate, and guide waiting staff to 5-star standards.
• Maintain Luxury Standards — uphold service rituals, grooming, and brand values.
• Collaborate with Event Managers — work with Meetings & Events leadership to execute flawless functions.
• Enhance Guest Experience — anticipate needs, resolve issues discreetly, create memorable moments.
