The Newman in London is seeking a Head Waiter/Head Waitress for Angelica, our modern all-day brasserie. You will lead floor service, mentor colleagues, and guide guests through the menu with confident recommendations while ensuring allergen information is communicated clearly and safely.

Qualifications

• Experience leading floor service and coordinating with kitchen and bar teams.

As a senior member of the floor team, you will support the management team in leading service, mentoring colleagues, and ensuring the highest standards are consistently delivered.

About You and The Role

As a Head Waiter / Head Waitress at Angelica, you will:

• Lead service on the floor and support the management team in delivering a smooth and efficient operation
• Take ownership of your section and ensure every guest receives warm, polished, and personalised service
• Guide guests through our menu and drinks list, offering confident recommendations based on preferences and dietary requirements
• Maintain a strong understanding of food allergens and communicate allergen information clearly and safely
• Support, coach, and motivate junior team members, leading by example during service
• Work closely with the kitchen, bar, and host teams to ensure excellent communication and seamless service
• Assist with training new joiners and sharing your knowledge with the wider team
• Ideally have experience using Micros and OpenTable
• Be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including breakfast, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
