Job summary

Medivet is seeking a Head Nurse to lead the nursing team, ensuring exceptional patient and client care while maintaining regulatory and operational standards. You’ll guide the team, support clinical activities, and contribute to a supportive, high-quality hospital environment.

As an RVN with strong leadership skills, you’ll drive development and inspire colleagues across our 24-hour hospital network, with a focus on maintaining Medivet’s family-like supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Must be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Demonstrated leadership in a veterinary setting.
• Proven ability to develop and inspire the nursing team.

Responsibilities

• Lead nurse-led appointments and scheduling activities; support consults, surgeries and procedures while ensuring regulatory and practice standards.
• Monitor patient care, manage admissions and discharges.
• Deliver exceptional client care and provide clinical leadership to the nursing team.
• Occasional Saturday shifts (1 in 4).

Typically, in this role, you’ll:

• Deliver exceptional care to patients, leading nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities, supporting consults, surgeries and procedures, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards

• Deliver exceptional care to your clients
• Provide clinical leadership, inspiration and development to the nursing team
• 1 in 4 Saturdays
