Job description

We are currently seeking a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our dedicated team at

Medivet 24 Hour Chorley.

The clinic is a well-established, community-focused veterinary practice dedicated to providing top-quality care to our beloved animal patients. With everything you need on your doorstep.

You'll be working with our super supportive Chris BP and Mel Heaton PM. We have a lovely team of 7 day & 3 night team of RVN's, 8 surgeons, 4 CCA and 1 VCA

The position is full-time working 40hrs a weeks mix of early and and lates. 1 in 6 weeks weekends.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:

• Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
• Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
• Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
• Deliver patient monitoring and care.
• Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
• Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
• Dispense and check medication.
• Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
• Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.

Your Skills and Experience

• RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
• Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
• Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
• Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
