The role demands strong clinical leadership, delivery of nurse-led clinics and involvement in Schedule 3 procedures, with a focus on maintaining exemplary patient and client care. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate

Head Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join a well-established veterinary practice in

Greater London. This is a full-time, permanent Head Veterinary Nurse position, ideal for a confident RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse ready to lead, develop and inspire a dedicated nursing team while delivering exceptional patient and client care.

The successful candidate will provide

clinical leadership across two neighbouring veterinary branches located just one mile apart, splitting their week equally between both sites.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient care, including nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 procedures
• Support consultations, surgeries and clinical procedures while maintaining the highest veterinary standards
• Monitor patients and oversee admissions and discharges
• Deliver exceptional client care and communication
• Clinical leadership, mentoring and development to the nursing team
• Ensure compliance with all RCVS, regulatory and operational standards

Working Pattern

This full-time Veterinary Nurse role is based across two neighbouring branches in Greater London, with time split evenly between both locations.

Weekend commitments include:

• 1 in 3 Saturdays on a branch rota
• 1 in 3 Saturdays or Sundays at a nearby sister 24-hour veterinary hospital
• 1 in 6 full weekends at the hospital

The role also includes:

• 2–3 shifts per year
• Participation in an on-call rota (2–3 weeks per year)

Salary & Benefits

£37,000 per year
