Responsibilities

RESPONSIBLE FOR: Pastry Chef, Commis Chefs

Job Purpose

To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the pastry section. To implement and maintain high hygiene standards. To produce food to required standards, following all published specifications and standards.

Main Responsibilities/Key Tasks

As a Head Pastry Chef, you will:

  • Operate the pastry section of the kitchen, working closely with the Executive Chef and Assistant Executive Chef to deliver an excellent guest experience.
  • Plan production and develop seasonal offerings.
  • Supervise Pastry Chefs and coordinate all pastry and dessert preparation and presentation.
  • Ensure high quality and creativity in dessert offerings.
  • Plan production to meet daily requirements.
  • Develop seasonal menu options.
  • Manage food cost controls to contribute to revenue.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Report equipment faults and defects.
  • Attend relevant training sessions.
  • Be willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Familiarize yourself with our core values, TITANIC, which reflect desired behaviors.
  • Adhere to company regulations regarding fire safety, health and safety, and food hygiene.
  • Maintain correct attire and personal hygiene standards.
  • Perform additional duties outside normal routines as requested by senior management.
