Pall-Ex is seeking a Head of UK Hub Operations to lead the UK hub from Pall-Ex House in Ellistown. This permanent, full-time role involves overseeing daily planning, cost control, and compliant hub operations with a strong focus on safety and service quality.

The candidate will manage teams, drive performance against targets, develop training plans, and guide recruitment to optimise efficiency and reduce agency costs. The role offers career development within a leading pallet network.

• Lead, while setting high expectations and performance objectives.
• Ensure Daily planning service and cost requirements are met.
• Ensure Depot service results are achieved daily in line with agreed targets.
• Ensure Legality and Compliance within the hub operations.
• Effective management of teams and agreed targets and KPIs.
• Support customer development and retention in line with agreed targets.
• Recruitment in all areas is met in line with budgetary requirements with a focus on removal of agency costs.
• Provide leadership for the Hub operations teams ensuring all team members know the objectives for the day.

Location : Pall-Ex House, Victoria Road, Ellistown, Coalville, Leicestershire, LE67 1FH
Working hours : Monday to Friday - variable hours (Nights)

About the role:

Duties include:

• Lead, while setting high expectations and performance objectives
• Ensure Daily planning service and cost requirements are met
• Ensure Depot service results are achieved daily in line with agreed targets
• Ensure Legality and Compliance within the hub operations
• Effective management of teams and agreed targets and KPI's
• Support customer development and retention in line with agreed targets
• Training matrix and action plans are developed and achieved in line with set targets
• Recruitment in all areas is met in line with budgetary requirements with a focus on removal of agency associated costs
• Achieve KPI's through management team by coaching, mentoring and developing to achieve and exceed.
• Ensuring all HR policies and procedures are adhered to
• Ensuring all H&S policies and procedures are adhered to
• Working towards and supporting Company goals, values and objectives;
• Help create a positive safety culture and make an effective contribution to the business.
• Provide leadership for the Hub operations teams ensuring all team members know the objectives and purpose for the day operation.
