Job summary

Gordon Moody Association is seeking a Head of Therapy to provide strategic clinical leadership across residential and remote services in Redditch. You will supervise therapists, oversee evidence-based treatments, and ensure trauma-informed, person-centred care, while maintaining a caseload for complex cases.

You will report to the Clinical Director and work with the Senior Leadership Team to translate strategy into high-quality clinical delivery, ensuring service standards and safeguarding

Qualifications

• Postgraduate or doctoral qualification in CBT, counselling, clinical or counselling psychology, or mental health nursing.
• Current accreditation with BABCP, BACP, HCPC, UKCP or similar.
• Clinical supervision qualification and ongoing CPD evidence.
• Significant post-qualification experience in addiction/mental health services (3+ years).
• Experience handling complex/high-risk presentations incl. safeguarding, suicidality.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist expertise in assessment and treatment of gambling-related harms and co-occurring mental health issues.
• Lead or advise on complex/high-risk cases with treatment planning, review and escalation.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions (CBT, motivational approaches, integrative therapies).
• Maintain a small caseload with focus on complex/high-risk presentations.
• Own safeguarding, risk management and clinical governance across services.
• Lead clinical governance, audits, policy reviews and service improvement.
• Oversee training, supervision and workforce development for clinical teams.
