Job summary

The Sloane Hospital, part of Circle Health Group, seeks a Lead Theatre Practitioner at The Sloane Hospital in Kent. This full-time role (37.5 hours) involves leading the perioperative team, ensuring safety, and mentoring staff across theatre services.

Applicants should be NMC/HCPC registered with theatre experience and a track record in clinical leadership, safety governance, and service improvement. A defined specialist area may be advantageous.

Qualifications

• NMC or HCPC registered practitioner with theatre experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of high-quality perioperative care and act as a team lead.
• Ensure patient safety checks and WHO surgical safety processes are followed.
• Demonstrate best practice and lead in high-risk situations.
• Provide leadership and supervision for theatre staff and support staff.
• Support development and assessment of team competencies and CPD.
• Mentor and coach junior staff and students.
