Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Head of Supply Chain & Procurement in the UK to lead the development and delivery of the supply chain and procurement strategy during the business transition to an independent UK organisation.

You will oversee supplier relationships, commercial performance, and governance while driving long-term value across the business. The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder influence, and experience in complex negotiations.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Commercial, Category Management, or Supplier Relationship Management.
• Proven success managing strategic suppliers and leading complex commercial negotiations.
• Strong understanding of contract management, supplier performance, risk, and governance.
• Experience delivering cost efficiencies, service improvements, and operational excellence.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead through business transformation.
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and relationship-building capability.
• CIPS qualification preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a supply chain and procurement strategy aligned to growth objectives.
• Lead supplier activities during business separation, ensuring continuity of supply and service.
• Build and manage strategic supplier relationships, driving performance and improvements.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, rebates, and commercial agreements to maximise value.
• Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and service.
• Establish procurement governance, supplier risk management, and performance frameworks.
• Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Finance, Customer Service and others to boost performance.
• Deliver insightful reporting, KPIs, and recommendations to support decisions.
