Head of Category (Supply Chain)

Location: Manchester

Salary: Up to £110,000 (DOE) + Benefits

Are you an experienced Head of Category (Supply Chain) looking for your next leadership challenge? This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a high-performing team and drive a best-in-class Supply Chain strategy.

What You’ll Be Doing:

1. Drive Supply Chain Excellence: Set, challenge, and achieve ambitious availability targets across all channels.
2. Strategic Stock Management: Optimise stockholding, ensuring efficiency in both depot and stores while maximising cash and minimising waste.
3. Supplier & Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and strengthen key relationships internally and externally to enhance performance.
4. Operational Efficiency: Lead major space and seasonal changes, improving stock flow and supplier management.
5. Team Leadership & Development: Identify, nurture, and develop talent while driving a high-performance culture.
6. Budget & Performance Management: Ensure compliance with budgets, particularly for stock, waste, and 3PL performance.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Head of Category (Supply Chain) or in a senior Supply Chain role, ideally within retail, FMCG, or a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
• Ability to drive change, optimise processes, and work collaboratively across departments.
• Commercial mindset with experience in supplier management and budget control.
