As a Head of Supply Chain, you will lead a team of specialists to develop and implement comprehensive sourcing and procurement strategies that optimize costs, enhance supplier quality, and improve reliability. Additionally, you will drive competitive value services within Project Procurement and Strategic Sourcing functions.

What will you do?

Key Areas of Responsibility (KARs):

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and lead strategy, objectives, and targets for a specific functional area in alignment with Linxon strategy. Drive end-to-end service provision, influence senior management, and ensure effective implementation of SCM strategies to increase SCM competence.
• Strategy Implementation: Contribute to defining, implementing, and executing the Country SCM strategy, covering areas such as Strategic Sourcing, Indirect Materials & Services, Transport, Trade & Logistics, Process & Excellence, Finance, Risk Management, Supply Base Management & Quality, Sustainability, and SCM systems.
• Performance Targets: Set annual SCM KPIs, align with global targets, and monitor performance.
• Spend Management: Manage equipment strategies, set targets, and implement standards to improve costs and maximize spend value.
• Process Excellence: Lead development and oversee implementation of SCM processes in the UK, benchmarking against industry best practices.
• Special Projects: Lead long-term global SCM projects aligned with regional and global strategies.
• Training & Development: Provide training to develop SCM competencies within the team.
• Compliance: Govern SCM standards on health, safety, sustainability, ethics, and regulations, maintaining relevant instructions and procedures.
• People Leadership: Foster a collaborative environment, guide and motivate the team, oversee succession planning, and coordinate talent management across regions.

Experience Required:

• Extensive experience in Power Sector – Transmission & Distribution.
• Proven experience in Tendering for Extra High Voltage Substations.
• Strong background in Projects Procurement Management & Strategic Sourcing.
• Experience in Category Management and finalizing Main orders for Substation Equipment, selecting strategic subcontractors.
• Technical knowledge in power transmission and distribution, with cost-saving solutions.
• International experience with utilities, standards, and specifications.
• Leadership skills with an analytical, solution-oriented approach, and excellent communication.
• Experience in multicultural environments and team motivation.
• Extensive commercial negotiation skills.
• Experience supporting global supply chain resources, including collaboration with teams in India.

Competencies/Skills Required:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• PMP certification from PMI is a plus.
• Self-disciplined, autonomous, proactive with a sense of urgency.
• Result-driven with problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Professional presentation skills.
• Strong leadership and people development capabilities.
