Job summary

The University of Exeter invites applications for the fixed-term post of Head of Student Cricket. This full-time role runs from 5 October 2026 to 30 June 2029, with hybrid working options and national travel for fixtures.

You will lead the development of the cricket programme, shape the performance pathway, recruit talent through the Sports Scholarship schemes, and build strong partnerships with County Clubs and home environments.

Qualifications

• Holds ECB Level 3 coaching qualification.
• Demonstrates a proven track record as a cricket coach.
• Has working knowledge of performance profiling and analysis.
• Experience developing partnerships with external agencies and clubs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the cricket programme from participation to excellence.
• Drive a coordinated coaching structure across men’s and women’s programmes.
• Recruit talent through the University Sports Scholarship Programme and Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme.
• Build and maintain relationships with County Cricket Clubs and home environments for performance players.
