Job summary

Windsor Forest Colleges Group is seeking a Head of Department for Structural Technologies to lead the Slough and Langley College team from August 2026 on a permanent, full-time basis. The post holder will manage the structural technologies curriculum team, oversee programme managers and drive high standards in technical teaching across both practical workshops and classrooms.

The role will implement a tailored Teaching, Learning, and Assessment Framework, monitor at‑risk students, and spearhead

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification and recognised teaching qualification.
• Recent experience running vocational courses with high student success.
• Experience managing instructional and academic staff and setting targets.

Responsibilities

• Implement Teaching, Learning, and Assessment Framework for vocational training.
• Monitor at-risk students and deliver targeted support.
• Use Quality Cycle to improve learner outcomes and standards.
• Lead curriculum development with regional employers and stakeholders.
