Job summary

Windsor Forest Colleges Group is seeking a Head of Department for Structural Technologies to spearhead the curriculum across Slough and Langley College, starting August 2026. The role is permanent and full-time, reporting to the Curriculum Director, with a focus on retention, achievement, and educational innovation.

The postholder will oversee programme managers and ensure high standards of technical teaching, while implementing the TL&A framework and maintaining safety in practical workshops.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification and a recognised teaching qualification.
• Recent, successful experience running vocational courses with high student success rates.
• Experience managing or mentoring instructional and academic staff, setting targets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the structural technologies curriculum team across Slough and Langley College.
• Drive Teaching, Learning, and Assessment framework implementation and learner outcomes.
• Build strong links with regional employers and industry stakeholders to align courses with LSIP.
• Oversee safety, discipline, and use of ILT in practical workshops and classrooms.
