Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd seeks a Head of Software Engineering for its Electronic Warfare line, covering Luton, Lincoln and Bristol sites. You will lead a software community of around 180 engineers across Sensors, Data Fusion and Effectors to design, develop and deliver software solutions for EW capability.

Responsibilities include end-to-end software delivery, recruitment, governance, and developing product roadmaps with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large software teams in defence or EW domains.
• Proven ability to build and execute software roadmaps with stakeholders.
• Knowledge of industry standards and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead timely delivery of software capabilities and capacity, including recruitment and training.
• Drive improvements in project delivery, estimation and interventions.
• Oversee software process, toolchain, resourcing and technology strategy.
• Collaborate with business, engineering and product architects on roadmaps.
• Provide strategic technical leadership and ensure technical excellence.
• Govern processes and manage budgets and cost centres.
