Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the East Region for a Head of Ambulance Services position. The post holder’s base will be determined at interview, but the successful candidate will be expected to provide visible leadership across the Borders operational area. This Head of Service role will have a regional remit, leading on relevant workstreams across all of the East Region, and will have direct line management responsibility for the Borders sub-region.

The post holder will engage with NHS partners and external stakeholders at a strategic level.

This is a senior management position within the region. The ideal candidate will have proven experience at middle management level (e.g., Area Service Manager or similar), with a track record of achieving operational goals and delivering strategic objectives.
