Global Sports Jobs Limited is seeking a Head of Security Operations and Engineering to design, build and operate scalable security capabilities across its global services. You will lead SOC/engineering teams, drive incident response, and partner with Security Architecture and Threat Intelligence to operationalise controls.

The role focuses on reducing mean time to detect, enhancing visibility, and evolving to an AI-enabled security posture while guiding DevSecOps and cloud security initiatives

Qualifications

• Experience leading security operations and engineering teams in a fast-paced online/eCommerce environment.
• Proven track record building scalable, AI-enabled security capabilities.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with DevSecOps and agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication with executive leadership.
• Ability to drive change across large organisations and adoption of changes.

Responsabilités

• Develop and lead Security Operations and Engineering teams securing the organisation's global services.
• Form an integral part of the Technology Operations leadership team, setting and executing the Cloud Security Strategy.
• Work closely with vendors including AWS, Wiz, CrowdStrike, Cato Networks, Cribl and Splunk to derive value from partnerships.
• Explore ways to adopt Agentic AI into detection and response capabilities to drive pace in analysis and response practices.
• Lead and support on incidents and mentor the team to manage confidently in incident scenarios.
• Establish AI-augmented risk and vulnerability management practices.
• Liaise with Data Protection, Risk and Audit teams to understand requirements and ensure solutions meet them.
• Develop the SOC capability to respond at machine speed to AI-based threats.
• Work with other technology teams to align roadmaps and implement DevSecOps best practices.
• Engage with other brand security leaders to ensure knowledge sharing.
• Provide training, mentoring, consulting and knowledge transfer to team members.
• Establish processes, procedures, policies and reporting, including KPIs, for tooling and systems.
