Head of Sales – Asia & Middle East

Are you a senior sales leader with a track record of success in Asia and the Middle East?

Do you have experience building luxury drinks brands through On & Off Trade distribution?

Can you lead and inspire a high-performing regional team while driving strategic growth?

MacGregor Black is supporting a Premium Wine & Spirits business in their search for a Head of Sales – Asia & Middle East. This is a permanent role based in London, with regular travel across Asia and the Middle East.

This is a newly defined international leadership role, reporting into the Group Sales Director, you will take full ownership of sales performance across the region, leading a team of Regional Sales Managers and managing key distributor relationships. This is a strategic growth role, focused on building ultra-premium brand presence in core markets and securing prestigious On & Off Trade listings, while ensuring strong commercial performance and brand protection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute long-term sales and distribution plans across Asia and the Middle East
  • Deliver volume targets by market, channel, distributor, product and format
  • Lead and coach a regional sales team covering Japan, China, UAE and Qatar
  • Identify and secure new business development opportunities, driving brand awareness
  • Manage distributor relationships to ensure strong execution and alignment with brand goals
  • Set targets for high-quality On and Off Trade listings and collaborate closely with Marketing to activate brand plans
  • Track sales performance and manage regional budgets in collaboration with Finance
  • Provide regular commercial insights and competitor analysis to inform wider business strategy

What are we looking for?

  • Senior international sales management experience within the premium or luxury drinks industry
  • Proven success across Asia and the Middle East with an established network of distributor contacts
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in budget and cost control
  • Confident communicator with excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Leadership experience managing, developing and motivating high-performing sales teams
  • Luxury sensibility and an understanding of brand-building in premium On Trade environments
  • Background in sparkling wine, champagne or premium spirits highly desirable

Salary - Up to £130k + bonus & benefits.
