Head of Sales - UK & Ireland

Global Solar & Energy Leader

Remote (UK-Based) | Salary £100,000 Bonus + Car + Benefits

We're seeking a commercially astute and contract-savvy Head of Sales to lead the UK sales strategy for a leading EPC and O&M provider in the solar and battery energy storage (BESS) sector. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the commercial direction of a growing clean energy company while mentoring a high-potential team.

What You'll Do:
  1. Lead and develop the UK & Ireland sales team, improving capability and performance.
  2. Drive strategic sales initiatives across EPC and O&M markets.
  3. Identify and pursue new business opportunities and market expansion.
  4. Build and maintain long-term client relationships through expert engagement and networking.
  5. Represent the company at trade fairs and industry events.
  6. Review and negotiate complex EPC and O&M contracts with legal and technical teams.
  7. Guide the team in delivering commercially competitive and technically sound proposals.
  8. Collaborate with senior leadership to align UK sales with European growth strategy.
Must-Have Experience:
  1. Proven experience negotiating EPC and/or O&M contracts (this is essential).
  2. Background in sales, project management, or procurement within renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.
  3. Strong understanding of commercial risk, performance guarantees, and contract structures.
  4. Experience leading or mentoring teams, with a passion for developing talent.
  5. Willingness to travel regularly across the UK and Ireland, with occasional visits to Germany.
Nice-to-Have:
  1. Experience in utility-scale solar or BESS projects.
  2. Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  3. Degree in engineering, economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
