Job summary

IDEX Consulting Ltd. is recruiting for a Head of Risk Management to lead a strategic Corporate Risk Management function for a leading UK insurance broker.

The role requires building and guiding a high-performing team while shaping a market-leading advisory service for complex corporate clients. You will own the risk management strategy, work across broking, claims and placement teams, and ensure risk considerations are central to client relationships, programme design and new business

• Significant experience in corporate risk management, risk engineering, loss prevention or specialist risk advisory.
• Proven leadership experience, including developing teams, technical capability and service propositions.
• The credibility to advise senior corporate customers on complex risks, risk improvement and loss prevention strategies.

We're working with a leading UK insurance broking business looking to appoint a Head of Risk Management to lead and develop its Corporate Risk Management proposition.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who can combine strong technical expertise with commercial awareness, strategic thinking and the ability to develop a high-performing team.

You'll take ownership of the Corporate Risk Management strategy, leading an established team while shaping a differentiated advisory service for larger and more complex corporate customers.

Working closely with Corporate Broking, Claims and Placement teams, you'll ensure risk management plays a central role in customer relationships, insurance programme design, retention and new business opportunities.

We're looking for someone who can bring:

• Significant experience in corporate risk management, risk engineering, loss prevention or specialist risk advisory.


• Proven leadership experience, including developing teams, technical capability and service propositions.


• The credibility to advise senior corporate customers on complex risks, risk improvement and loss prevention strategies.


• Strong relationships across the insurance and risk management market.


• A commercial mindset, recognising how effective risk management can improve insurance outcomes, strengthen customer relationships and support business growth.

Experience within an insurance broker would be advantageous, although senior professionals from insurers and consultancy backgrounds will also be considered.
