Baker Charles is partnering with a leading FTSE 250 business to recruit a Head of Group Reporting in Central London (Hybrid). The role offers a senior, highly visible finance leadership position reporting to the CFO, with ownership of external reporting, technical accounting and the financial control framework.

• Qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
• Extensive IFRS expertise and a strong background in Group Reporting within a listed business.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage with senior executives and auditors.
• Demonstrated ability to own external reporting, technical accounting and financial controls.

Baker Charles is partnering with a leading FTSE 250 business to recruit a Head of Group Reporting. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful, growing international business in a senior and highly visible finance leadership role.

Working closely with the CFO and senior leadership team, the successful candidate will take ownership of the Group's external reporting, technical accounting and financial control framework. This is a broad and varied role extending beyond traditional Group Reporting, with responsibility for cashflow forecasting, liquidity, capital allocation and strategic projects, alongside significant exposure to the Board and Audit Committee.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of the Group's annual and half-year IFRS financial statements and annual report.
• Manage external audits, statutory reporting across international subsidiaries and Audit Committee reporting.
• Act as the Group's technical accounting lead, advising on complex IFRS matters and accounting judgements.
• Own Group cashflow forecasting, providing insight into liquidity, working capital and capital allocation.
• Oversee accounting policies, financial controls and Provision 29 requirements.
• Partner with senior stakeholders on acquisitions, systems improvements and strategic projects.
• Lead and develop the Group Reporting team, driving improvements in processes and reporting.

We are looking for a technically strong and commercially minded qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience, extensive IFRS expertise and a strong background in Group Reporting within a listed business. You will have excellent technical accounting knowledge, strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, and the confidence to engage with senior executives, auditors and the Audit Committee. The role will suit someone who combines technical rigour with commercial awareness, enjoys a fast-paced environment and is comfortable taking both a strategic and hands-on approach.
