Job summary

Marks Sattin is supporting a long-standing FTSE-listed real estate investment client in its search for a Senior Group Reporting Manager in Central London. You will lead the Group reporting function and take ownership of the consolidation process, reporting into the Head of Financial Reporting.

The ideal candidate is ACA qualified with 3–5 years PQE, experience in a Big 4/top 6 practice, and industry exposure in a large listed or private environment.

• Experience in an industry role at a large listed or private environment.
• Strong technical accounting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Group Reporting team of five accountants.
• Own the half-year Group consolidation process and report on key metrics.
• Oversee external reporting, including statutory accounts and annual report.
• Deliver quarterly management reporting and Underlying Profit.
• Coordinate with external auditors and cross-functional teams on corporate transactions.
• Resolve complex accounting issues with formal papers when required.

Job description

Please to be supporting our long standing, FTSE-listed client in the real estate investment industry with their search for a new Senior Group Reporting Manager to join their team in Central London. Reporting into the Head of Financial Reporting, this is a key role where you will lead the Group reporting function and take ownership of the consolidation process.

Key responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Lead and support the Group Reporting team of five accountants, while contributing to wider leadership across the Finance department.
• Group Consolidation: Own the half-yearly Group consolidation process, including reporting and analysis of key financial ratios and performance metrics.
• External Reporting: Oversee the preparation of financial statements and accompanying notes for the Annual Report and half-yearly report.
• Quarterly Reporting: Partner with senior Finance colleagues to deliver quarterly management reporting, including Underlying Profit.
• Audit Management: Act as a key contact for external audit managers, ensuring queries and issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
• Corporate Transactions: Collaborate with Tax, Treasury and Capital Markets teams on corporate transactions and restructurings.
• Technical Accounting: Resolve complex accounting matters, preparing and presenting technical accounting papers where required.
• Statutory Accounts: Take a leading role in the end-to-end preparation of the Group’s statutory accounts, excluding joint ventures, using a structured, proactive approach to working with external auditors.
• Ad Hoc Analysis: Deliver financial analysis and one-off projects to strengthen management’s understanding of the business and support informed decision-making.

The ideal candidate will be ACA qualified (3-5 years PQE), with experience in a big 4 or top 6 practice, and experience in an industry role at a large listed or private environment. The candidate will need to be technically very strong, whilst also demonstrating a high level of communicative and collaborative ability.
