We are seeking an experienced and proactive Head of Property Management to lead and develop our Property Management Department in Oxford. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a residential portfolio, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, delivering exceptional customer service, and leading a high performing team.

This is a senior position requiring strong technical knowledge of residential property management, excellent people management skills, and a commercial mindset. The role will play a key part in driving client retention, operational efficiency, and business growth.

Working hours are 8.45am to 5.30pm, with the flexibility to work from home one day per week.

Main tasks:

• Ensure compliance with all current lettings and property management legislation.
• Monitor adherence to Gas, Electrical and Fire Safety legislation
• Deposit protection regulations
• Maintain robust compliance systems and audit procedures.
• Maintenance & Contractor Management
• Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and increase client retention.
• Analyse management fee performance and income opportunities.
• Work closely with the Lettings agency team to support business growth.
• Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and service enhancements.

What Will It Take to Be Successful?

• Significant experience in residential property management, ideally within a leadership role.
• Strong track record of handling a substantial residential portfolio.
• Excellent knowledge of residential lettings legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing landlord and tenant disputes.
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills..
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Commercial awareness and problem-solving capability.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
• High attention to detail.
• Full UK driving licence
