Job description

ROLE: Head of Property

HOURS: Full time, 40hrs p/w

SALARY: up to £90,000, plus car, bonus, and benefits

BASE: Hybrid - Field Based National Role, with regular travel to Head Office (South Normanton, DE55, just off J28, M1)

We are recruiting a Head of Property to lead, shape, and deliver our companywide strategy for property, facilities, and branch estate acquisition and development.

What our Head of Property does:
  1. Lead, allocate, and develop resources (people, financial, and assets) to meet business strategies, standards, and requirements.
  2. Develop policies, plans, and approaches, and implement effectively over the planning cycle.
  3. Monitor property and facility costs and budgets.
  4. Ensure reviews and controls are in place to deliver accommodation and services at optimal cost.
  5. Ensure property strategies, policies, and plans are developed and implemented consistently across the Group.
  6. Analyse legislative changes and market best practices, including property-related health, safety, and environmental considerations.
  7. Ensure controls and procedures are in place and fully adopted.
  8. Analyse and present potential target locations and properties.
  9. Lead the end-to-end process of property acquisition, from identifying potential locations to negotiating leases and finalising contracts.
  10. Provide advice, guidance, and expertise on property and lease management.

  1. Broad and deep knowledge of property and facility matters.
  2. Subject Matter Expert in advising and guiding senior stakeholders.
  3. Experience managing estates, property opportunities, developments, and threats.
  4. Leadership experience within business property, estates, and facilities.
  5. Adept at strategy and policy development.
  6. Understanding of property acquisition legislation and practices.
  7. Exceptional stakeholder management skills.
