Job summary

Anderson Knight, partnering with a leading utility infrastructure organisation, seeks a Head of Projects for Scotland (Glasgow HQ). Lead a multidisciplinary team delivering EV charging, substations and grid connections, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and profitability.

You will steer scope, delivery strategies, and stakeholder engagement across Utilities, Energy, and Construction portfolios, developing talent and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading large-scale infrastructure, utilities, or construction projects.
• Experience managing projects valued up to £30m+.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with budget oversight.
• Exceptional leadership and talent development能力.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of multiple utility and infrastructure projects from inception to handover.
• Define scope, strategies and ensure effective execution across lifecycle.
• Oversee planning, resource allocation, programme management and delivery.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, frameworks and client expectations.
• Identify opportunities to maximise commercial performance and efficiency.
• Establish robust project controls covering programme, cost, risk, and quality.
• Drive financial performance and profitability across projects.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts and cost performance (CVRs).
• Review labour, material and subcontractor costs for cost management.
• Support subcontractor procurement, selection and contract management.
• Collaborate with Commercial and Operations to maximise outcomes and minimise risk.
