Job summary

Matchtech seeks a Head of Product Development in London with strategic leadership to steer the product portfolio and long-term growth. You will mentor a high-performing Product Development team and align activities with market opportunities and customer needs.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration across Marketing, Quality, Manufacturing and Finance to deliver innovative products, while ensuring regulatory compliance and stage-gate governance.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in Product Development, NPD, R&D or Innovation within nutrition/consumer health/FMCG.
• Experience launching multiple products from concept to commercialisation.
• Strong understanding of formulation, manufacturing, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product development across vitamins, minerals, supplements and broader consumer health categories.
• Identify new product opportunities through consumer insights and market trends.
• Build business cases and prioritise the product portfolio for speed to market and commercial potential.
• Drive formulation and delivery format innovation (capsules, tablets, gummies, liquids).
• Lead packaging innovation with sustainability and consumer appeal in mind.
• Ensure compliance with food supplement regulations and retailer requirements.
• Own stage-gate processes, governance, budgets and delivery timelines.
• Partner with Marketing, Brand, Commercial, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Finance functions.
• Build, lead and develop a high-performing product development team.
• Drive portfolio optimisation through reformulation and cost/ingredient improvements.
