Job summary

Mansell Recruitment Group is recruiting a Head of Product Development for a UK-based manufacturing group. The role leads the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept to market launch and ongoing improvement, collaborating with sales, operations, quality and technical teams to meet regulatory and customer requirements.

The successful candidate will drive product strategy, champion innovation, manage a technical team, and align development with commercial objectives in domestic and international

Qualifications

• Proven experience in product development leadership.
• Strong understanding of design, testing, validation, and compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple projects from concept to launch.
• Experience leading and developing a technical or product team.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly organised, proactive, and results-driven with strong PM capability.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the product development roadmap aligned with business strategy.
• Lead design, development, testing, and evaluation of new products.
• Ensure products meet industry standards, regulatory requirements and safety expectations.
• Oversee projects from concept through to production and market launch.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, supply chain, quality and technical teams to meet customer needs.
