Job summary

Mobilus Limited is seeking a Head of Product Development to join the Senior Leadership Team in Milton Keynes. You will own the product vision, strategy and roadmap, and collaborate with the CEO and cross‑functional teams to translate customer needs into an actionable plan.

This strategic, hands‑on role requires proven SaaS product leadership, strong Agile discipline, backlog management, and close partnership with Engineering to deliver successful releases.

Qualifications

• Proven experience defining and delivering SaaS products.
• Standalone product management experience, ideally with marketing/analytics SaaS.
• Strong roadmapping experience with Agile and software development lifecycle.
• Experience managing the product backlog and working closely with engineering teams in SMB SaaS.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and design.
• Strong strategic thinking with leadership exposure in a SLT.

Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a fast paced, dynamic SaaS provider, specialising in marketing analytics, call tracking, AI and data-driven insights. As part of their expansion, they are looking for a Head of Product Development to join the Senior Leadership Team and take ownership of their product vision, strategy and roadmap. This is a strategic, yet hands-on role, with a high level of responsibility. You will work closely with the CEO, Development Manager, Head of Departments and wider business to turn customer and commercial needs into a clear, deliverable product roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop the product vision, strategy and roadmap.
• Translate business and customer priorities into clear product requirements and delivery plans.
• Lead roadmap planning, prioritisation and backlog management.
• Work closely with Engineering to manage product delivery and releases.
• Coordinate across Sales, Marketing, Client Services, Engineering and Leadership.
• Manage delivery risks and remove barriers to execution.
• Establish effective product management and discovery practices across the business.

Requirements

• Proven experience defining and delivering successful SaaS products.
• Standalone Product Management experience, ideally with Marketing/Analytics SaaS
• Strong product road-mapping experience with good Agile skills and a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Experience of managing the product backlog and working closely with engineering teams in a small to medium sized software provider.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and design.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to convert vision into execution.
• Strong leadership presence with experience of working within a senior leadership team.

The ideal candidate will need to be comfortable being visible and working in a standalone product role with accountability to the scorecard and business objectives, whilst contributing at a strategic level. They will need have worked on a revenue generating software product for a small to medium sized SaaS provider. The role could be an exciting career development move for a Senior Product Manager or Product owner looking to obtain a greater level of autonomy and leadership.
