Job summary

Future Recruitment Ltd seeks a Print Manager for a leading East Midlands printer. You will lead day-to-day operations of the Printing Department, including people, workflow, quality, and costs, ensuring targets are met safely and efficiently.

You will guide a team, optimise presses, monitor KPIs, manage inks and consumables, and coordinate with Planning, QA and Maintenance to drive continuous improvement in a pressurized environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within the print industry, ideally packaging/folded cartons.
• Proven experience in a Print Management or Print Supervisory role.
• Strong sheet-fed offset printing experience and knowledge of presses/machinery.
• Experience with UV and conventional drying systems is desirable.
• Understanding of QA, BRC standards and Food Industry requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Printing Department, including staffing, shifts, training and attendance.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards and delivery requirements are met.
• Monitor KPIs, productivity, downtime, waste and efficiency.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot printing and production issues.
• Manage inks, varnishes, boards and consumables, keeping costs under control.
• Collaborate with Planning, Quality, Repro and Maintenance to optimise workflow.
