Job summary

Construction Testing Solutions in Leicester, England, is seeking an Operations Director to lead operational performance across its network, ensuring high-quality customer service and sustainable growth. The role involves guiding General Managers, translating strategy into action, and maintaining safety, quality and regulatory standards while building capable teams.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will drive revenue targets, manage budgets and lead continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Senior operational leadership across a multi-site service/technical business.
• Experience leading managers with clear accountability for performance.
• Strong financial understanding including P&L, budgeting and forecasting.
• Proven track record of delivering growth, improvement and change.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and manage diverse sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational performance across the network including capacity, productivity, service delivery and customer commitments.
• Coach General Managers and drive financial and people performance.
• Deliver revenue, EBITDA, cost and cash targets with budgets and forecasts.
• Develop growth plans to increase revenue, capacity, market share and profitability.
• Drive continuous improvement, standardise processes and performance measures.
• Ensure workforce plans, recruitment and retention of key talent.
• Maintain safety, quality, accreditation and customer service standards.
• Identify and manage operational and commercial risks and supply risks.
• Lead acquisitions integration and major change while maintaining continuity.
• Build management capability and succession; support MD on strategy and relationships.
