Job summary

The Adventure Service is seeking a Head of Operations to lead and oversee Day Services, Short Breaks and Trailblazers. You will drive safe, person-centred and high-quality services, while aligning with our vision of Achieving Potential Through Adventure.

This senior role requires strong staff leadership and strategic collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team. You will balance compliance with a person-centred approach, manage budgets and support growth across locations, ensuring operational

Qualifications

• Significant leadership and operational management experience across multiple sites or services.
• Strong budget awareness and resource planning responsibilities.
• Proven track record in safeguarding, quality assurance and regulatory compliance (CQC, Ofsted, AALA).
• Experience leading and developing staff teams with a positive, values-led culture.
• Ability to balance duty of care with independence and meaningful opportunities for Adventurers.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership across Day Services, Short Breaks and Trailblazers.
• Lead safeguarding, regulatory compliance and quality assurance processes.
• Oversee budgeting, resource planning and service performance.
• Work with the Senior Leadership Team to drive growth and sustainable service delivery.
• Develop and maintain a positive, values-led organisational culture.
