Job summary

Hop Talent partners with a fast-growing flexible workspace business to appoint an Operations Director who will own the operations function across 15+ buildings in London and beyond.

This senior, hands-on role leads the operations team, shapes processes, manages budgets and supplier relationships, and drives a premium client experience as the portfolio grows. You will work closely with projects, real estate, sales and finance to scale the operation for international expansion.

Qualifications

• Deep facilities and building management knowledge.
• Experience running operations across a multi-site property portfolio.
• Background in flexible workspace, serviced offices, or similar environments.
• Able to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels.
• Proven ability to develop scalable processes and improve operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio Operations: oversee day-to-day performance of 15+ buildings and standards across the portfolio.
• Facilities & Building Management: handle complex M&E issues, challenge contractors, drive resolutions.
• Systems & Processes: review and document procedures, create scalable, repeatable workflows.
• Budgets & Commercial Management: own budgets and service charges, identify cost savings without compromising quality.
• Supplier & Contractor Management: manage suppliers and outsourcing partners to meet standards.
• Leadership: lead and develop the operations team and influence future hires.
• Landlord & Managing Agent Relationships: manage relationships to achieve best outcomes.
• New Building Mobilisation: ensure smooth transition from project to operational readiness.
• Client Experience: maintain high operational standards for demanding clients.
