Job summary

Harris Lee represents a well-regarded further education college in Richmond, South West London, recruiting an experienced Head of MIS and Funding to lead the Management Information Services function. You will oversee funding compliance, performance reporting and exams, with line management of the MIS and Exams teams reporting to the Vice Principal, Finance & Resources.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading an MIS function in a college or FE setting.
• Experience producing and validating ILR returns.
• Strong knowledge of Data Protection and FOI legislation as it applies to learner data.
• Excellent IT skills across MIS systems and MS Office.
• Strong report writing and communication skills for senior stakeholders.
• Experience managing and developing a senior-level team.
• Degree level qualification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership of the MIS function.
• Oversee submission of funding returns and ILR production and audit.
• Advise senior leadership on funding developments and impact on the college.
• Lead data provision for Self-Assessment and Ofsted with curriculum managers.
• Develop and maintain an MIS portal for strategic decision-making.
• Act as main point of contact for awarding organisations and QA systems.
• Oversee exam compliance and malpractice procedures with Exams Manager.
• Support curriculum planning with the Vice Principal, Curriculum and Quality.
• Manage MIS and Exams budgets and staff development.
