Job summary

WeDoData are seeking a Head of MIS - Systems & Reporting to own the organisation's data infrastructure and reporting capability. The role blends hands-on technical work with strategic leadership in an FE environment.

You’ll lead system integrations across MIS, Finance, HR and learning platforms, drive reporting using Power BI and SSRS, and mentor a small reporting team while ensuring data quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading MIS and reporting in an education setting.
• Proven SQL/SQL Server expertise and data modeling skills.
• Strong Power BI and SSRS experience for enterprise reporting.
• Experience managing or developing a reporting/data team.
• Good understanding of education MIS and complex data environments.

Job description

WeDoData are working with an established Further Education organisation that's looking for a Head of MIS - Systems & Reporting to take ownership of its systems, reporting and data infrastructure.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands both the technical side and the needs of an FE environment.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading the integration of key College systems, including MIS, Finance, HR and learning platforms
• Developing and improving reporting using Power BI and SSRS
• Managing and supporting a team of 2 Report Writers
• Overseeing SQL databases and developing complex reporting from multiple data sources
• Improving data quality, system performance and self-service reporting
• Supporting the wider organisation with systems, data and reporting strategy

We’re looking for someone with:

• Strong experience working within Further Education
• Expert SQL / SQL Server skills
• Strong Power BI and SSRS experience
• Proven experience of systems integration
• Experience managing or developing a reporting/data team
• A good understanding of education MIS and complex data environments
