Games Workshop Group PLC seeks an exceptional Head of Buying and Merchandising to lead and unite buying, planning, forecasting and visual merchandising across channels and territories. Based in Nottingham, you will manage a talented team, build supplier partnerships and influence big decisions with the COO.
You will navigate a complex international operation, travel occasionally to the USA and Asia, and shape how products reach hobbyists worldwide while driving commercial results.
Behind every great product range is a team that makes hundreds of smart decisions about having the right product in the right place at the right time. We’re looking for an exceptional Head of Buying and Merchandising to bring this all together. Reporting directly to our Chief Operating Officer, this is a senior role with real influence, big decisions, and the opportunity to make a lasting difference to how we bring our miniatures to hobbyists around the world.
You’ll be an accomplished senior manager with plenty of merchandising experience already. You’ll manage a team of talented people, bringing together buying, merchandise planning, forecasting, stock management and visual merchandising across all our channels and territories. From making sure the right products are available at the right time to building strong supplier relationships and finding smarter ways to work, you’ll turn our plans into action and help us grow while making every penny count.
We’re looking for a commercially sharp, numerate and curious person able to navigate their way around a complex, international, multi-channel operation. You’ll be comfortable switching between the big picture and the detail, developing brilliant people, making tough calls and continually finding ways to do things better. Even more importantly, you’ll care about how you lead: with honesty, humility, courage and a genuine desire to help others succeed. It is a team effort, and we only succeed together.
Based in Nottingham, you’ll work across our global business, with occasional travel to the USA and Asia. At Games Workshop, we’re in this for the long haul: making the best fantasy miniatures in the world, inspiring our customers forever.
At Games Workshop we are looking for people who will do their best to understand the needs of the company and to put those needs first when they are at work. Because of this we believe that what you are like, hence the attitude you show to work and the way you choose to behave is even more important than your skills and experience.
The Warhammer World site is based just outside of Nottingham city centre and benefits from a nearby tram stop and free onsite car parking.
In return for your hard work, you will receive 33 days holiday per year (including public holidays), matching contributory pension scheme up to 7.5%, profit share bonus (subject to GW meeting profit targets) and option to join our Share Save scheme. Oh and let’s not forget, a staff discount of between 25% and 50% on our products!
Closing date: The closing date for applications is midnight, UK time, on Friday 23rd October 2026.
