Job summary

RailwayPeople in Birmingham seeks a Head of MEP to lead the delivery of systems for a major rail facility, spanning design development through handover. You will head the MEP team and coordinate with clients, designers and supply chain to ensure integrated operation of building services with depot equipment.

The role requires strategic thinking and experience in complex rail projects, with responsibility for interface management, risk, quality and ensuring long-term operation readiness.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive experience leading MEP on major infrastructure projects.
• Experience coordinating interfaces with structures, civil works and depot equipment.
• Proven ability to lead design reviews and oversee procurement, installation and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Set the MEP delivery strategy across depot buildings and control centre.
• Lead design reviews, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Manage specialist contractors, programme risks, quality and commercial performance.
• Resolve interfaces with structures, civil, depot equipment and railway systems.
• Build and lead a capable MEP management team.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to deliver an operation-ready facility.
