Job summary

Advance TRS is recruiting for a Head of MEP to lead delivery across a major rail infrastructure project in Birmingham. You will own the MEP design development through procurement, construction, commissioning and handover, coordinating with designers, the client and the project leadership.

The role involves leading a dedicated MEP team, shaping strategy, and ensuring seamless integration of building services with depot equipment and railway systems for reliable long-term operation.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading MEP delivery on major infrastructure or technically demanding construction schemes.
• Strong ability to coordinate building services with depot equipment and railway systems.
• Proven track record in design reviews, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Set the MEP delivery strategy across depot buildings and control centre.
• Lead design reviews, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Manage specialist contractors, programme risks, quality and commercial performance.
• Resolve interfaces with structures, civil, depot equipment and railway systems.
• Build and lead a capable MEP management team.
• Work with senior stakeholders to deliver a facility ready for long-term operation.
