Job summary

Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd (SSTL) is looking for a Mechanisms Functional Manager to lead the technical execution of mechanisms-related projects. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality outputs, managing resources, and addressing any technical issues promptly.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in spacecraft engineering or similar fields and excellent management skills. Knowledge of software tools such as SolidWorks and Ansys would be a considerable advantage.

Qualifications

• Track record in spacecraft engineering or high-reliability engineering sectors.
• Experience in diagnosing and resolving electro-mechanical assembly issues.
• Background in mechanical design with knowledge of precision tolerancing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical execution, cost and delivery of project solutions.
• Collaborate with project managers and functional managers to resolve resource conflicts.
• Lead team development through training and mentoring in mechanism design.
