  • Excellent classroom practitioner.
  • Passionate about curriculum design, coherence and impact.
  • Ambitious for all learners.
  • Excellent knowledge of the GCSE specification.
  • Experience leading others, e.g. Second in Department or Key Stage 4 Leader.
  • Excited by shaping a rich maths journey from Year 5 to GCSE.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for Mathematics for Years 5–11.
  • Design and implement a coherent, sequenced, ambitious Maths curriculum.
  • Support high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
  • Develop expert subject knowledge and professional growth within the team.
  • Collaborate with primary phase colleagues to ensure progression from Year 5 to GCSE.
  • Contribute to school improvement and drive department development.
