The University of Winchester is seeking to appoint an experienced marketing and customer relations professional to lead the Marketing & Campaign Management Team in this pivotal role within the Marketing, Communications & Engagement department.
As part of a successful team with a strong track record, you will take the lead on delivering targeted, effective, and creative marketing student recruitment campaigns as part of a content-led approach to recruitment and customer relationship management. You will lead our work to build our brand visibility in existing and new markets, building personalised and meaningful marketing communications activities around the subjects we offer.
You will be a strategic and results-driven thinker, passionate planner and inspiring team leader with substantial experience overseeing marketing communications in higher education or other people-focused sectors. You will have extensive experience in audience segmentation and strategic marketing and planning, and in delivering effective customer relationship management journeys that generate leads and growth in enrolments (or equivalent if you come from a different sector).
This is a highly varied role with an exciting combination of strategic input and day-to-day delivery of activities. Key goals include raising the profile and reputation of the University locally, nationally, and globally (through recruitment content, campaign management and leading customer relationship management journeys), increasing levels of engagement amongst prospective students and their influencers as well as generating detailed engagement plans for lead acquisition and applicant nurturing across our foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
You will line manage a team incorporating content marketing, digital marketing and graphic design as well as being the strategic lead for the University’s recruitment-facing CRM system.
By harnessing the potential of our creative and media buying agencies, the post will also build and maintain brand strength by effectively telling ‘the Winchester story’ to support recruitment activities and overseeing prospect and applicant stakeholder relationship management in conjunction with senior leaders within the department.
We are looking for an ambitious self-starter with a passion for creating innovative and outcome-orientated campaigns to help drive change and craft a high performing team.
As a University group we believe our offer is compelling. This includes:
