Job summary

National Highways seeks a Chartered Surveyor to lead the Asset Management (Managed Estate) function. You will steer strategy for non-occupied estate and land awaiting schemes, ensuring safety, compliance and value across a large portfolio.

You will manage major external contracts, advise on leases and disposals, and lead teams across our Estates & Facilities directorate, driving commercial focus and cross-functional collaboration to deliver long-term outcomes.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Surveyor with proven estates/property leadership experience.
• Experience managing complex property portfolios, disposals, landlord/tenant matters and valuations.
• Strong governance, compliance and risk management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and management of National Highways' managed estate to maximise value.
• Ensure estate remains safe, compliant and well governed.
• Oversee disposal of unneeded property and management of external contracts.
• Provide expert advice on leases, easements, acquisitions and disposals.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration and best practice in land and property management.
