Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Head of Major Projects to lead strategic and commercial delivery of fire suppression installations across critical environments in the UK. You will manage a £25m business with full P&L responsibility, leading a team to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.

The role requires extensive experience in major projects, strong commercial acumen, and leadership to drive performance and growth within a global organisation. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• Proven senior project delivery experience in construction or engineering.
• Experience leading Project Managers or Senior Project Managers.
• P&L responsibility within a major projects environment.
• Demonstrable experience delivering large-scale installation projects.
• Knowledge of fire suppression systems and UK regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Major Projects Fire Suppression delivery team across the UK and Ireland.
• Oversee ~20 concurrent projects valued £500k–£20m+.
• Ensure safety, time, budget and quality targets are met.
• Provide leadership to a team of direct and indirect reports.
• Drive profitability, forecasting, change control and resource planning.
• Support bids, tender reviews and contract negotiations.
• Maintain robust portfolio performance reporting.
